Content Management System & Back-end Feature Set

Net-Craft built a highly sophisticated and scalable back-end content management system that allows the site administrator incredible real-time control of the site elements. Back-end functionality includes:

  • Customer management module allowing full control and accessibility to a customers information such as shipping, billing, access, recurring orders and BerryBucks totals.
  • The order management module allows the site administrator to view incoming orders, upcoming recurring orders, potential fraud orders, and product totals.

  • A robust promotion code module that allows the administrator to define special codes that when used by a customer during the user check-out process a discount will be applied to the order. Depending on how the administrator configured the code, this discount can be for a percentage discount, a flat rate discount, free shipping or a combination. The administrator can also set a code to trigger an inline promotional pop-up screen. These can be used to entice a site visitor to purchase a product. For example the administrator may set a pop-up to trigger if a user has been on the site for at least 5 minutes or the users 3rd trip to the site without a purchase. In both examples these variables potentially indicate a user that is on the fence about a purchase and the resulting discount may push the user to finally make a purchase.

    Multiple codes are supported allowing the client to use varying codes for different marketing campaigns. Reports can be run within the system showing which codes have been used based on date ranges. This is very good for ROI or return on investment advertising tracking.
  • The reporting module allows detailed reports to be generated about a wide variety of date including:
    - Customer details
    - Orders
    - Sales levels
    - Product quantities
    - Promotion codes
    - Customer feedback
    - General web site visitor statistics
  • Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing Return On Investment (ROI) module allows the client to keep track of their Overture and Google AdWords PPC campaigns. An ROI can easily be calculated by comparing the cost for a keyword and the amount of sales generated by the keyword. Underperforming keywords can then be removed or the advertising tweaked to improve conversion rates.

  • A feedback module allows user inputted feedback to be stored in the database and sorted by subject and date. This allows the client to track how current and new site features are being received by users.
  • The content management module allows full control over the text elements of the website as well as the product catalog. This includes all text, pricing, product images, tax rates and shipping metrics. Images uploaded by the client are auto-sized and formatted to make the process as easy as possible for the client.
