According to the Wall Street Journal, Apples tablet is being adopted at a high rate by American corporations. Estimates indicate Apple has sold more than 8 million iPads so far. In July, Apples COO, Tim Cook reported that almost ½ of the Fortune 100 are actively using or testing iPads. The
abundance of iPad business applications available is a predominant reason
for this surprising adoption rate. A free app developed by Citrix Systems,
which allows users to access internally developed corporate programs from
the iPad, has been downloaded more than 175,000 times.
