Mobile Twitter access Growing at a Rapid Pace

The number of users accessing the social media site, Twitter from their mobile devices has grown more than sixty percent since the beginning of May. More than seventy-five percent of users still visit Twitter through the main website, but the increase in mobile access makes it clear that mobile web access is on the rise. Twitter says that almost half of its user base uses the social network with their mobile devices and almost two in ten new users only use their mobile device. This number was less than one in ten a few months ago indicating a sharp increase. This growth can be attributed to the release of Twitters official mobile iPhone and Android apps.
